Default slow 05' EZGO

New here so hello to all. Had 05' EZGO for 6months. Batteries are good, charge is good, but my cart seems half the speed as when I got it! No clue

Be certain all of your cable connections are clean and tight. If so.......You may have a battery problem. Do you have access to a a load tester, hydrometer, or digital voltmeter?

Thanks for responding. Everything is clean and tight. Voltmeter checked out normal. I did install a radio a few months ago, not sure if that could be it or do I have a motor issue?

Is the radio wired into a voltage reducer or just one or two batteries?

I could be that the batteries you are using for the radio are being drawn down lower than the rest.....over a period of time this could hurt them. A hydrometer can be found at any auto parts store. It will tell the specific gravity of each and every cell. One weak cell can make a battery weak. Your original complaint ...... gradual loss of power.....points to the probability of this type of problem. It is just a guess but I would check it out if you can

How did you wire the radio to the batteries? What did you do with the ignition wire off of the radio? Did you tie it into the power wire? If so that's a NO NO! You have to run a toggle switch from power to the ignition wire on the radio - if not, then your radio is always 'on', as far as the batteries are concerned
