Default I thought I had My Family's charging problem Fixed

I am an Optician, And I specialize in sports safety glasses- Shooting, Hunting, Fishing, Motorcycle goggles and the Like-

One of My customers came in, and we were talking about hunting. He asked me How I get out in the field with the two giant knee braces and the cast-

I told Him I use modified golf carts to get around, but my family does not understand the concept of charging Deep Cycle batteries.

He said why don't you buy My warehouse cart? I asked what it was he replied a 2003 st480 gas- Whoo Hoo- He was even thinking about a possible barter deal for some Shooting glasses- He told me to call him about 4 when he got back to his office- He said it just doesn't run right- could be a carb problem from hwat he gathered

I did call- His warehouse manager had put it on Craigslist for $300 about 12:30 Monday Mid Day and it was paid for and gone by the time he got back

ya win some and you loose some
LOL

An easy fix would be if it doesn't get plugged up when they get back take the keys out and then they can't use it.

yup running or not.
300 would barely pay for the rims and tires

the quest was fun while it lasted- I will continue the search

as far as taking the keys, its half theirs.

I will get my Bad boy working and haul it down when I go and bring it back,
when I come home and charge the heck out of it

Cindy asked I wonder if the guy sold it to a friend?

My Customer told me they are going to buy a new electric cart- why wouldn't they use as some form of trade in?

HE DID SEND ME A COPY OF THE AD
lol
There are more out there
just not that cheap LOLOLOL

You're right..... $300 doesn't cover the rims and tires on that cart, nevermind the 16 HP Briggs motor in it, the electronically locking rear Diffrential....... Heck, I can name a dozen parts on that cart worth more than the money they sold it for....... That makes me sick, I never find deals like that......

Make you sick?

I was going to trade it for a pair of glasses- LOLOLOL

I find the deals, but don't get to finish them

1976- Found a 1958 Porsche Speedster Powder Blue white top
that had and engine fire and the engine was repaired 0- just needed to repaint the Hood (rear bonnet to be Porsche correct) Guy told a man he could have it for $1000- I Offered him $1500 cash in hand- and he said he gave his word to the other man

1977- Found a Marantz 150 or 200 watt per channel tube amp for $100- another man was going to pick up Friday- I went up to 200 and she wouldn't budge-

this summer I found a G Loomis Fly Rod- for $50 Woman's Husband left her for a 19 year old - He said sell my stuff and send me the Money. She was having a garage sale- I set the rod down and asked her how much- she said $50 as I turned to pick up the rod, another buyer picked it up in front of me- LOLOL

I must have done something in a past life-

I find a lot of deals, just something always happens to slam the door on my fingers

csport, don't feel like you're the only one. Happens to lots of folks!

I happened upon a 1952 Nash Healey Roadster in a field. Pretty much pristine and sitting next to a couple of FarmAlls, a Willys, and a couple of other vehicles I don't recall. Knocked on the door and the gentleman informed me he had mechanics liens on all of the vehicles and which one did I want? Said he'd take exactly $1,250 for the Nash, the exact amount of his lien for rebuilding the engine. The only thing he stipulated was one last call to the owner to give him a last chance. The guy had been sitting on this Nash for nearly 2 years. Turns out the owner was in Germany (military) at the time but his mother agreed to pay it off immediately.

SO CLOSE!!!!! I still shake my head thinking about that car.

Yeah, some of us have all the "luck!"
