Default 2010 CC DS not responding or moving

I am working on a 2010 Club Car DS that won't move or respond.

Serial Number: AQ1045-146075

The cart had a badly corroded forward/reverse switch and bad connectors at the switch. Replaced the switch and replaced the bad connectors. Now the cart won't do ANYTHING !?!?!?!

I have 49 volts to the orange wire at the switch. The switch is also good as confirmed with a continuity test. I also tried bypassing the switch and going ORANGE to BLUE (Forward) and ORANGE to BROWN (Reverse) and got nothing. Not even the reverse buzzer comes on.

Cart is in the RUN position and the Key is ON. Batteries all test good under load and I have 49 volts across the pack.

Former switch was removed because cart would only operate in reverse. NEW SWITCH installed.

What's wrong?

Thanks

I am surprised that no one has made any comment about my cart issue.

Here's what has happened. I charged the cart, flipped all the switches, and the cart ran... for a day. Parked it that night and the next morning, it wouldn't move again.

I have continuity through the ON/OFF switch, FORWARD/REVERSE switch is working, and I swapped MCOR's. It just won't go anywhere.

Need help.

Thanks

Don

I would check:
  • Keyswitch
  • Solenoid
  • Tow Switch
  • Wiring
  • Make sure the F/R switch is wired correctly
Does the solenoid click?

FYI: 49V is almost dead. Put a meter on it and try to drive it. See if the voltage drops out.

I just went through this with an 08 DS. It ended up being wires corroding loose in the heat shrink and I had to change controllers. I'd open up the wire loom throughout the whole cart and inspect it. I'd bet you'd find something loose inside.

This cart is odd. I pulled the dash on a different cart to check the location of the wires. Turns out that there was a wire in the wrong place on the ON/OFF switch. So I changed that in order to match the cart that I was running.

And wouldn't you know, it moved. Forwards and Backwards. So I put my tools away and went to take it for a test run, and NOTHING. Then I remembered, I had the RUN/TOW switch in TOW.... BUT, it ran for a few minutes in TOW. I switched it back to RUN, and it moved again.

I am going to run it myself before sending my golfers out with it. Something doesn't seem right, but at least I know that it CAN run.

What are your thoughts on that one? Electrical Gremlin?

Yeah, this thing is crazy. I drove the cart for two days, got on today, drove to the clubhouse, went inside, got the trash, came back out, and it was dead. Nothing. Flipped switches, and still nothing.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 2010 DS ? I found other years here on the forum, but nothing for 2010 era carts.

Thanks

Thanks Steve,

I printed the electrical section and will start reviewing that. With a manual that large, they could have put in a basic troubleshooting section. Oh well, guess that's my job.

It is acting like it goes into TOW mode. It will free wheel and not try to resist you, reverse buzzer quits too.

I will have to try the same thing in another cart and see if they behave the same way.

Keep the info coming. Thanks
