82 ds needs pwr/torque. 48v upgrade??
Hey guys its been a while since i have posted my cart is finally fully together w the fiberglass stereo pod in the roof all polished pieces air horns etc. Now i want to give it more power and torque. I have read alot of post but now i want specific info on my cart. My cart is a 82 cc ds 36v. Is it true that i can add 2 6v batteries in the middle of the bank and swap out first solenoid w 48v and it will work fine?? now i completely understand there is a best way to do things but i have enough money dumped into other hobbies will this work and has anyone done it and how reliable is it? also what speed range would you expect? thanks in advance gents.

if you add 2 batteries and only the one soleniod your asking for problems..................your gonna have 48 volts going thur a 48 volt soleniod to 36 volt soleniods with resistor coils on them...........i don,t think thats goona work.............................

I second that, you can not run 48 volts thru a resistor coil set up.
