Default New plum quick bandit motor installed

I installed my new plum quick motor today, i got the bandit upgrade. They actually take your old motor and refurb it to get the most out of it, it is their cheapest up grade at $225. Here are the speed results I gained, I have the stock controller and upgraded to 4g wire. On an almost level, slight down hill, all macadam road with stock motor my top speed was 12mph with the bandit installed I hit 20mph. Going the other way on the road I hit 9mph with the stock motor and 16mph with the bandit. All speeds were measured with the same gps and done immediately after full charge. I've noticed an increase in torque but that for me is hard to measure. I will have to upgrade my controller to get the torque I am looking for but am very impressed with the speed gains of the plum quick motor. Their customer service can't be beat, and I had the motor delivered to my door in about a week and a halfs time. I hope someone finds these results useful that may be contemplating going with plum quick, a great company and worth the $225, in my opinion.

Congrats on the Bandit! Sounds like you got a lot of increase for a little change. Thanks for posting your results!

Another happy PQ customer. Congrats on your motor upgrade! Their products are very well respected, and so is their service. I have one, couldn't be happier.

I do like it but need more hill climbing torque for sure, and I'm kind of confused on this issue. Im hesitant to purchase a higher amp controller because I'm not sure what will work with my cart, I'll take any and all suggestions, thanks!

Are you looking for a specific brand and model number, or just general info?

From what I know so far going with a 400 or 500 amp controller is probably my best bet ? If you have any specific brands and model numbers I'll check them out thanks!
