Default value of 2008 club car precedent

Hi, new to forum and to golf carts also. Looking to buy a newer cart and was curious as to price range I should set for myself. Looking for a 2008 club car precedent. I would like to find a stock model with no upgrades so I can do my own customizing. What should I be looking to spend? Thanks in advance

Selling price in South Ga. (golf cart shops). 1500.00 to 2000.00 for 2008 fleet cart (Precedent). 2350.00 for 2009, 2yr old batteries. My daughter just bought a 2008 DS for 1250.00.

You guys have it good in the States..............No change out of $5k in my part of Australia, and then you have to freight it 1600km (1000 miles). But I suppose you have lots and lots there compared to here. Good luck. PS, batteries start at about $220 each here.......

I bought an 07 in "like new" condition with new batteries for $2300

Be cautious if you want to do motor/controller upgrades. In 2008 they went to the IQ2 and I think there might be some limitations on available controllers.

If I recall correctly the upgrade limitation was for Excel equiped Precedents (which is an option - not all Precedents) and the last time I read about it there was no controller upgrade option for an Excel cart. There are some postings on this topic in this forum if anyone wants to do a search. I don't recall any limitations on the non-Excel Precedents.

I am in the Atlanta area. I bought a 2008.5 Precedent back in January with a back seat for $ 2500. That is a good bit below the going rate here. Those Peachtree City folks are proud of their carts, they ask over 3,000 for a similar model.

Peachtree City Golf carts? Tell them David and Wayne from TSA referred you and they may give you a better deal.
