I bought it off eBay from KoolKartParts.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question. I got the 2" female receiver off eBay and the Winch mounting plate with 2" male tubing from Amazon. We live out in the country and it's just easier to have things shipped here.

@Flattop59 that's awesome—thanks for sharing. I may go this route.

Because I don't want to have to haul around all that crap in your picture all the time? Yeah that's it ! I get what you're saying though. Part of this is definitely my desire to further pimp out my ride. I can also see myself using it for things like lifting a hog on a gambrel, etc.

If you are off-roading and think you require a winch ... you will also want to have at least some of that "crap" in your stuck kit ... a good tow strap, a tree saver (or two) and a shackle (or two) come in pretty handy when you get planted.

I estimate that a properly sized winch, winch mount and battery will add 60 to 100 lbs of weight to your cart that you will be permanently hauling around. But as you say, adding a winch to a cart certainly helps to pimp out your ride.

All my tow equipment on the dog scale weighs 108 pounds and I don't carry all the stuff all the time. When I think I'm headed where I may need it, I put the battery controls box under the back seat with strap, shackles and such, etc. I usually carry the winch in the rear receiver as that's where I usually need it and it helps balance the cart.

Is your rear receiver just connected to the rear seat? Can people really tow their carts that way? Just doesn't seem load-bearing to me.

My rear receiver is bolted through the aluminum frame that was where the bumper used to mount. It is also bolted to the rear seat assembly. I pulled my zero turn mower out of a ditch with the rear configuration. It was stuck pretty good and it weighs right at 1000 pounds. I had to anchor my cart as the winch was pulling it to the mower. LOL
