Default Yamaha G16 zerk grease

New, don’t know anything about anything, but I want to learn. Bought a used Yamaha G16. It ran awesome the first day then the next it just wouldn’t go. It seemed like it was trying and it would go maybe a mile an hour and then back fire. I’m thinking the drive belt isn’t catching and I want to grease the zerk. Is there a certain type of grease that I should use? Do you think that this could be the problem? Any info would be appreciated. Dumb it down for the new town idiot please.

I dont think it's your issue. I think you arent getting fuel. I'd check the throttle to verify its opening, maybe it's got a broken throttle cable.

It doesn't sound like a clutch problem. It sounds like the engine isn't running/or running well.

If you want to learn how to work on your golf cart, you will need to learn some basic mechanics. There are you tube videos that are free and really a good source to learn the basics. I'm not just talking about golf cart stuff, basic general engine stuff like spark, compression, fuel pressure, air intake. All of this stuff will help you understand so we can get you pointed in the right direction.
