A breaker bar and a socket. Put someone in the cart with their foot on the brake. And use a hammer and smack the breaker bar. put the wheel on and put it on the ground

Motor has been removed. Man there was a ton of carbon dust in there! Cleaning it out now. Can this input bearing be replaced with the diff still mounted in the cart? Looks like I can do it, but don’t want to assume.

The EZ Go website does not recognize the serial number, but the motor (now removed ) has a 2004 date on it and the steering is on the axle. I’m calling it a 2004.

Finally got the input bearing snap ring removed! What a PITA! Now the bearing doesn’t want to fall out as expected. Gonna try to grab it with pliers.

Ok, its not coming out, and here's why. When I spin the input shaft in the differential it is smooth as silk. When I turn the armature inside the motor it sounds terrible. I am convinced my noise is the motor end bearing. If I pull the armature out of the motor will the bearing stay behind? Never been in this deep....

I made a bearing puller for Ezgo. A single hook tooth slide hammer thing. The bearing is pressed in.

The Tech repair manual doesn't go into the input shaft removal... If memory serves me right, and it doesn't always, there is a freeze plug on the other side of the case which when removed allows for driving the input shaft bearing out. Again, you'll just have to look.

The motor has been shipped to Plum Quick for a refresh. I have reassembled the axles and mounted the wheels back on the cart. It’s a roller without a motor. Today we will tow it up and down the service road and confirm that the noise is gone without the motor being mounted.

With no motor installed the offending noise has disappeared. Good thing.

Needed a quart of non-detergent 30W oil for the differential service. Found this product, ok to use?
