If you think the muffler is bad then loosen it after it starts acting up and see if it runs better.
Just make sure you can remove those two bolts without breaking them . A stopped up muffler even though rare on these carts can happen. You have no way of knowing how it was treated before you go it. A timing belt a few notches out of time would cause a cart to not run correct. Almost impossible to check without having that engine on the table. At least for me it is. You have to remove the drive clutch anyway and on lifted carts sometimes that is impossible without removing the engine. I would want a new OEM carburetor also. Maybe make a video of how its running and upload it to youtube then post that link here. |

Thanks. I’m no mechanic but learning as I go. Really hoping I don’t have to replace the engine. Will try to remove the muffler and see if it runs better.
