Robin engine noise
Hello All,
I have a 2002 TXT with a Robin engine making terrible noise. I have posted a video to youtube so you can hear what I mean. I am capable of rebuilding the engine if I have to, I just hope I don't. Any thoughts on what is wrong would be appreciated. |

i would say rod . thats what mine sounded like before i rebuilt it.

started to then just did it all new pistons .010over/ rings valves had about 350.00 with some machining. but it sounds so much better! at first we thought it was a clutch issue. but i was wrong.

Look at the valve train first not saying any ones wrong but stuff happens.

It almost sounds like valve train rods are faint at first then they get worse They are like a thud that sound like a tap

Pulled the engine today. When I placed the engine on the workbench I heard something rolling around. When I opened it up I found a bolt to one of the rods laying in the bottom of the crank case. Looks like someone replace one of the rods but the bolt was from the old one. Guess I'll order a rod and check the pistons and hope that's all it is.
