Question Robin EC25-2PG not running properly.

I just acquired an EZ-GO with the Robin EC25-2PG 244cc engine. It will run but it seems like it is flooding out and won't rev up like it should. Thinking maybe the carb needs rebuilt. Any other suggestions?

Compression test shows 140psi. I'm going to remove exhaust and try new gas direct to carb and see how that works. Thanks.

I just purchased an 84 w/Robin engine, with the same problems. although with mine while doing maintenance, I found that the previous owner was mixing the gas as a safety precaution directly in tank. I suggest to start Carb cleanout that makes a big difference!
