Fixed. Dirt/trash in the fuel shut off valve was the cause.

Fix was Dirt/trash in the fuel shut off valve

Mine is dong the same thing and I have replaced everything you have said. I have new ignition coil. Still backfires and spits and sputters to a stop.

I would suggest a compression and leak down test. Wonder if you have a burned valve or broken piston ring.

I changed the ignition coil two times and the problem is the same. Do you think it might be the RPM sensor?
Any help is highly appreciated.
