Re: how to remove the governor 2014 EZGO EXPRESS High Output
20 is about all you are gonna get with factory controller and stock gears. Installing a alltrax controller will remove all speed limitations, but will still only get a few more mph. Whoever told you "a lot more speed" is full of poo-poo. High speed gears will get a significant speed increase at the expense of hill climbing power, only recommended for flat-land operation.

Re: how to remove the governor 2014 EZGO EXPRESS High Output
The dealer told him to remove governor to get more then his current 20 mph. I would take the dealer up on his offer just to see how he's gonna do that.

His cart has a 48V pack and either has 20" or 22" tires installed, so the motor is being RPM limited at 3800 (22") or 4200 (20") if it maxing out at 20 MPH. I'm not sure his motor is the same as the one EZGO used in 36V PDS carts, but when I was running a stock PDS motor and a DCX400 at 42V on 18.3" tire, I could reach 6500 RPM. He has more drag due to the taller tires, but he has 48V, so I suspect he might get over 30, but I might be wrong. I don't know. |
