Re: 48V EZ GO Charger
You won't find a transformer style charger new for less money then Scottys DPI charger. It will even maintain your batteries after charging, something a factory charger didn't. |

Re: 48V EZ GO Charger
Cheap, and Made in China are really not a factor. Your battery pack can cost between $500 and $800, depending on whether you have six cheap or eight expensive batteries. A good DPI charger WILL make your pack last longer.
Pure economics. |

Re: 48V EZ GO Charger
with all these guys. You can't go wrong with DPI. And like sportcoupe said, it'll maintain your batts. so if you skip a day of riding() they'll stay fully charged for the next day.

Re: 48V EZ GO Charger
Concur. Most folks just look at initial cost, not life-cycle cost. I was just pointing out the initial cost will pay for itself in the first set of batteries.
Coming from municipal industrial industry, it was hard for me to justify paying a few more dollars on a motor for a lower life-cycle cost. The total cost for most equipment, given a 20 year life, is O&M. A fraction of a percent increase in efficiency = real dollars in energy cost savings. |
