Allsports long travel
I would like honest opinions from members that actually own & use the Allsports long travel for 2001 1/2-up (axle mounted steering rack) Ezgo.I have already bought one and it is to be delivered tommorrow,I just wanted some user input.I do know that Allsports is still 100% made in the USA which was a BIG factor in choosing it over either of the other two major brands.

Re: Allsports long travel
If your steering is binding, you have to grind down the knuckles on the u-joints. Other than that, good to go.

Re: Allsports long travel
By the way, I have not compared my lift to any others, like Jake's, so I don;t have any idea what lift is the better quality. But I have had a drop axle lift on my old electric cart and this Long Travel is hands down a better way to go.

Re: Allsports long travel
Yea,I bought and installed the Ezgo 4" factory lift kit (front & rear) on mine about 3 months ago but now have decided on a long travel upgrade;I wish I had decided to do it before I spent over $400 on the Ezgo kit but I'll make somebody a good deal on it after I get the Allsports installed.I have seen a strech plastics kit and was not impressed with the overall quality or that it was made in China but have not seen a Jake's kit in person so I can't comment on it either. All of of this is my opinion and I'm sure there are other opinions out there as well. Thanks again for your reply.

[quote=kellys~hotrods; Are they manufactured in China? The web site says they have a manufacturing facility here in California.

Kelly[/quote] All I can say is the box has big red letters that say MADE IN CHINA on it,maybe just the box is made in China and the lifts are made in Cali.(?) |

Re: Allsports long travel
The Strech kit is made in China - but I can tell you this - In the 6 years of using this kit, I have NEVER had one issue with them.
I'm NOT happy with the quality of Chrome on them, but I pretty much only order the Black powder coat units. FYI - we've got them on sale right now... |
