Default 92 ezgo 2 cycle

customer brought this in to me today, 1992 2 cycle gas 3pg , runs intermittently. recently replaced crank seals, strong spark(over 1cm), 145psi compression, new carb one and a half turns out, this car has a lot of gas leaking out of the exhaust, makes me think it is having trouble burning fuel. crankcase vacuum is good, carb bowl is filling. no visible leaks in breather. new ngk bp4hs. It will run with a dry rag over the carb. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The diaphragm in the fuel pump has split. It has enough flexibility to pump gas but at rest it allows fuel to leak into the crankcase where it eventually leaks past the piston rings and out of the exhaust manifold. It's not worth repairing just install a new one for ~ $35
