A weekend of working on the cart, is it done?
I spent the whole weekend working on the G9 cart in prep for X-mas weekend at the lake house with family. I rebuilt the front end, new shocks, wheel bearing and general tweeking adjustments. I put new heavier springs on the rear, put the driven OEM clutch spring back in, from the CPP torque spring. Added the CPP govenor stiffer spring and just general tightening of bolts and fixin little stuff. I adjusted throttle cables for hours and did test run after test run. The cart pulls HARD (wheelie hard) it tops out 27 MPH. Thats uphill or down hill. Is this right with a govenor as tight as it can be?

What was up with the torque spring? Why did you change it back?

Tx, are talking about the govenor on the motor, or the differential? If the motor, did you order with the rev kit, or not?

Go straight to the motor with the throttle cable, bypassing the differential. Take that cable assembly completely off and tie the govenor arm forward, toward the motor..... Prepare for more amazement!

Ok so you are running right from the pedal to the carb? Are you using the stock cable or buying a new cable? Or somehow using the one that came with the CPP kit?

Re: A weekend of working on the cart, is it done?
Yes, straight from pedal to the carb. I don't know what cable came with the kit, but I assume it is set up to go straight to the carb.... Might give Tom a shout if instructions aren't clear. I did not use his motor so don't know. I modified my stock cable with a typical motorclyle style barrell nut, cut off the end that used to go to the differential.....

Toms kit states go to the diff gov. I'm sure it is a safety issue for him. Question is, do you lose low speed driving if you go straight to carb?
