Default Upgrading cart from EZGO Series cart

Thanks in advance for the advice. We moved from one planned community with flat paved roads to one with steeper hills and 16 miles of gravel roads, so we sold our (slow on the hills) 2000 EZGO Freedom series cart for $2400 and want to buy a new one set up the same way (4 seat). I have a few questions and could use some advice. We use it about 40 miles a month. First, our new community allows gas carts, so are they faster than an electric? If not, I want to stay electric. We loved the EZGO,and have superb experiences with all things Yamaha

We have 3 to choose from, all with folding rear seat, lights, top, windshield, new tires:

2005 EZGO PDS Freedom chip new batteries new body $3100 no tax
2005 Yamaha 48v new batteries $3300 plus tax
2007 Yamaha gas $3200 plus tax

all have a 6 month warranty

Thoughts??

Yamaha's ride better than EZGO's. More mods are available for EZGO's. The rest is up to you, choose what you like.

Yamahas are not as common as Ezgo & CC, so parts and knowledgeable mechanics are harder to find IMO.
I prefer the 350cc 2cyl Ezgo Gas cart to anything CC has & for hills you gotta get a Gasser

If you don't mind a little maintenance, I would say 4stroke gas. Your series cart could have easily been upgraded to do what you want, but since you sold it go for a gas. I personally like both forms of propulsion and not particularly biased to either.

If you keep fresh gas it in and drive it regularly, gas small engines are great.

I hate to disagree with ScottyB, but IMHO the E-Z-GO RXV 48 Volt AC drive will out pull almost any gasser on a hill.

I would buy the cleanest, nicest looking one. However I am a sparky guy...I think that if it's going to make noise it better be fast.

Nice Yammy! With new batteries, I'm sure you'll have years of trouble free fun with it.
