Default 81 Club Car - no slow speed

Had a problem with my club car on the course. The local course mechanic got it working by bypassing the first solenoid. I replaced the solenoid but it jumps to second gear immediately. Had the local club car technician work on it but he can't figure out what is wrong - he told me to replace all the solenoids and coils. I replaced all solenoids and coils - they were all very old. Still jumps. I don't dare drive it because it is so jumpy. Don't know a lot about these things, but willing to learn and play around. Thanks!

Welcome......There is a small metal box bolted to the frame under the driver's seat. There is a microswitch for each one of the solenoids in the box. They are activated by the peddle with a plastic slider....if your mechanic used a voltmeter he would have known your problem is here.....I could fix it for just 5 barrels of oil .....

Unfortunately, he went through all of the switches as well ... even replaced one. Anything else it could be? Tech even questioned motor but that doesn't male as much sense. Glad 5 barrel charge is now instead of last fall!

Well since you have checked the solenoids and the switches ... I assume the slide has been checked along with the micros? So you must have a faulty wire. A voltmeter should find your problem..... Funny how a little thing like out of control oil prices could start the whole world into a financial depression?

Currency
Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR) = 100 halala; 5 halala = 20 qurush. Notes are in denominations of SAR500, 100, 50, 10, 5 and 1. Coins are in denominations of 50, 25, 10, and 5 halala.

This has nothing to do with electrical. Remove the plate above your carburetor and you will see it is stuck part way open. The shaft (The part your throttle cable is attached to) that the throttle plate is screwed to is worn out and you may need a new Carb if you cannot find a replacement shaft.
