Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
Thanks guys. Called my bank and they are starting the process of reversing the charges. Said could take up to 90 days . I may miss using it the entire hunting season. I would much rather just gotten my controller but it is what it is.

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
You sure it's the controller? What's it doing/not doing?

Yep, and if it turns out to be the controller, this guy https://gaminde.net/ can either rebuild yours or sell you a new one way cheaper.

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
Ok guys. Sunoco did ship me the controller a couple days before I reversed payment so he did come through. I'm fixing to send him his payment back but I went ahead and installed the controller and it is doing the same thing as my old controller so that must not be it. It works fine in forward but only sputters and won't move in reverse. I have changed the f&r switch and taken motor apart, cleaned it up and dressed up brushes and brush holders. I'm at the end of my wits. Any suggestions ?

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
I hate to even mention the obvious, but you did check that the micro-switches on the F/R switch were operating correctly right?

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
I changed the entire switch out and it fixed nothing.Thats what made me decide it was the controller.

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
Well if it runs fine in forward, that tells you the Mcor and the controller and solenoid are fine. That just leaves the input to the controller that tells it to reverse. When you roll that F/R switch over to reverse it activates the reverse micro-switch which tells the controller to go in reverse. So somethings wrong with that. Broken wire from micro-switch, bad micro-switch, bad connection from micro-switch to controller. You've got to do a continuity check on all that and verify the controller is getting the required input.

Re: Stealth 4x4 parts
Thanks for the input gyroman. I'll start running those wires next chance I get. Now I'm trying to convince Sunoco to let me return the controller. We will see.
