Default yamaha G22A

I have a 2003 G22, Took the valve cover off to adjust the valves and a metal plate fell out. I think it is part # JN6-11168-00-00. How does it mount in the cover? All I saw was 4 pins in the cover. The part was loose and the rocker arm beat holes in it. Thanks. Tony
