Powerdrive 3 charger
Interesting problem, a fella in the neighborhood just got a refurb 4x12 48v DS cart with a Powerdrive 3 charger.
One day he plugged it into his 95' 48v cart and it completely blew out the computer. I did a bypass and the cart charges with his old charger no prob. Just waiting to get a new computer in to replace the blown one. The Powerdrive 3 charger does fine with the new cart, shuts down on time and seems to function normally, but why would plugging this charger into the older cart cause this damage without doing it to both carts? Any ideas would be great, Rom |

Re: Powerdrive 3 charger
Since you said it's a refurb could they have wired up the computer wrong or wired the plug wrong? Reversed the ground and pos or something to that affect.

Re: Powerdrive 3 charger
That's not normal. Those chargers work fine on all Club Car 48V systems.
