Default Gas Cart Engine Performance

A cart mechanic bypassed my governor and the rev limitor on a 1997 Club car DS. to give me optimum speed. Is this a harmful performance idea?
Thanks

As long as your engine RPM's are within reason, (less then 4300 RPM's)
mechanically... you'll be fine!
(above 4500 RPM's for long durations, will cause your valves to "float", and will cause damage!)

Also, when going fast on a smaller vehicle... there's always a risk of "bodily" injury!

BTW... to BGW!

Sorry to hijack but do you know if 4300 would be a safe max rpm for a Yamaha(G16) also or would it be more or less?

Thanks and again sorry to hijack
