Yes, or at leasst there ought to be the yellow (mild hill) has regen braking, pack, which returns some energy to the battery.

The original zip file had the spreadsheet saved in both Quattro Pro and Excel formats.

I need to update the US Battery SoC voltages. I used 2.330V as 100% SoC for a 2V cell and later got some more accurate data from an Engineering V.P. at US Battery. 2.1370 is the correct value.

I'll re-post it when I get it updated and verified.

Tiny tires (17" tall), 2Ga high current cables, aftermarket controller and driving techniques. Plus some growing pains with the importance of temperature compensation and variety of terrain on test route.

With stock height (18") tires stock controller and 2Ga cables at 36V, I got estimates from 20.8 to 30.6 miles with an average of 25.3 miles.

With shorter tires and same battery pack and controller, but same test route and gentle driving, I got from 27.1 to 28.3.

I only have one test at 36V with a DCX400 controller, but on same test route and I got a 30.6 mile estimate.

Then I went from a 36V 225AH pack to a 42V 245AH (8.1kWh of stored electrical energy to 10.3kWh) and got from 35.6 to 38.3 mile estimates.

I exploded the stock motor, which also took out the controller, so I had to replace them a DCX500 and a ES-76-51 motor and started averaging about 30 mile estimates.

I haven't checked since the spring of 2015 (3 year old batteries) but I still got a 30.1 mile estimate.

The rear seat increases weight, which reduces range.

No, or at least not much if any.

Typically, my only stops in my test runs were at stop signs, or waiting for a break in traffic to cross a major highway, but sometimes I stop for a DQ and I cannot drive and eat ice cream at same time.

However, it is extremely important to let batteries rest for at least half an hour after the run to get the battery voltage for the end of the test, and waiting an hour is better.

The chemistry in intimate contact depletes under load and when not being agitated, it takes a long time to equilibrate. Attached a chart I made for my 36V pack. The one for my 42V pack is on the laptop I use when I'm doing testing.

I suspect your low range estimates are due to taking the end voltage too soon.
