Default 2016 TXT48 Diagnostic Mode?

Does the neutral/reverse diagnostic mode procedure to obtain the beep codes work on a 2016 TXT48? I want to confirm which performance mode my cart is in.

The "neutral/reverse" diagnostic mode only applies to the PDS style cart. If your 2016 has a stock Curtis 1206HB-5201 control installed, you will most likely need a Curtis diagnostic handset in order to view the settings.

****, was hoping for an easy solution. I think I am
In coastal mode bc my cart is a TXT Fleet. I have 23 inch tires and am doing 19-20. I doubt my dealer had the ability to unlock Freedom mode but I am unsure.

Just call them and ask.

For the TXT48, 2010 and newer uses the Curtis 1206HB-5201 250 Amp controller that is factory limited to about 180 Amps. Unlike the older TXT controllers, the newer Curtis controller is configurable and has diagnostic capabilities with a handset that can be plugged into the controller. I can reprogram those controllers for more power (the full 250 Amps), and turn on Freedom mode. But I suspect that you are going to need to upgrade to a 400 or 500 Amp Alltrax controller in order to drive those 23" tires. Anything less than 400 Amps is just not going to perform well with tires of that size. Check out Carts Unlimited for upgrade information and controllers.

I was going to mail it to you to save some $$ but now I am back to going with Scotty’s recommendation and buying the 400/200 amp solenoid combo. I wonder based on an older thread with my setup if I am in Coastal mode. The other thread had a TXT with 23 inch tires in Freedom mode and no torque. I assume the slower mode ups the torque enough to get the 23’s moving but not optimally and not at Freedom mode speed.

You could also upgrade to a Curtis 1268 500amp control. I know that FSIP carries a conversion kit for TXT and can be programmed however you would like.

That would be best. The stock controller just cannot hack it with 23" tires. The Alltrax 400 will be so much better for your needs.
