Default 95 Club Car 48v... How about 60 or 72 volts ?

Looks like my 8v batteries will need replacement...

Still trying like a mad scientist to bring them back to life... but highly unlikely.

Can I put 5 or 6 12v batteries in place of the 6 8v batteries for 60 or 72 volts ?
...or maybe just add an additional 8v battery for 56volts

Run time isn't critical. I just got this thing to tear around the property and run kids to pool and bus stop.

No... Stop with the Mad Scientist stuff as your controller and solenoid will be short lived if fed anything above 48 volts for long. Then you also have to have a way of properly charging a pack with non standard voltage. Another thing is you need batteries of the same basic output and voltage for proper charging as well as discharging not some wonky salad bowl full of mixed junk....

LOL...

OK... I'll put away the mad scientist hat for a few days.

Priced some batteries today FWIW.

Trojans were $117ea
Duracell was $105ea
Deka was $148ea

Refurbs from Interstate were $60ea.

I'll probably go with a set of Trojans and keep it simple.

I'm still being stubborn and trying to wake my dead Deka's from the coma they were in.

If you want performance, there are plenty of great ways to upgrade your system and get a nice strong 48 volt cart. A fresh set of Trojans is a good starting point. Keep in mind this vehicle was built for golf. Motor/Controller upgrades will really wake it up.

No such thing as refurbs? Well, I guess we better stop driving the carts I have with refurbs in them.
