DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE EXCEL (I2) AND IQ SYSTEMS

• Excel is used in Precedent models only.
• Excel utilizes the 1515 controller instead of the 1510A.
• The Excel 1515 controller uses half-bridge technology allowing cooler operating temperatures and increased motor braking.
• The Excel minimum motor braking speed has been lowered to almost zero.
• Excel has higher energy output during regenerative braking due to the lowered minimum motor braking speed.
• The Excel accelerator pedal has more control of downhill speed.
• When parked on a hill, the Excel vehicle resists sudden acceleration after the park brake is released.
• The programmed speed of the Excel vehicle can now range from 5 to 19.2 mph with fine adjustments in 0.1 mph increments.
• Excel provides mileage readings.
• Excel has more diagnostics available.
• Excel offers the ability to change software.

Thanks, it gets confusing when I hear IQ, I2, fleet cart, excel, ph, etc.

Are all these terms for different versions of carts?

As Steve's PDF shows, there are tons of different models and drive systems!

The way I see it, I2 and Excel are the same thing (interchangeable terms).
A fleet car is the term used for a golf cart at a golf course where there many of the same car (like a fleet of DS's).
PH is the beginning of the serial number of a Precedent with the Excel (I2) system.
IQ is Club Car's sepex drive system (found on both DS and Precedent models).

I2 and Excel have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

IQ is a Drive System. Excel is a drive system

I2 is a body style (second generation Precedent that includes a battery bucket that will hold 6 8Volt batteries. Also has a little bit different dash design) All Precedents built after 2008.5 are I2, whether they're IQ, or Excel.

I2 cars are easily recognized due to serial number location. First Generation Precedents have the serial number tag in the passenger side dash pocket. I2 cars have it on the passenger side kick panel right next to the passenger's right foot.
