Default 2005 Yamaha G22a Relay wireing

Hope someone can help me out. I changed out my battery today and in the process, there was a relay with a blue, black, and yellow wire attached to it.
The 3 wires go straight into the harness so I don't know where they go from there.
The relay has 4 terminals, and I can tell which leads they were attached to, but not what color goes where. I'm hoping that someone with the same cart can post a picture of the connections.
Thanks

You will need to locate a wiring diagram for your cart. You can also try to look the full length of the harness to see where those wire colors exit at their other end. When you think you have found the other ends, do a continuity check with a multimeter to be certain that it's the same wire. Where it is connected at that end should give you some idea of where it should go at the relay end. Do the same with all three wires. A wiring diagram shows the colors of wire and all of the connections. With the diagram you save a lot of time, but when one isn't available, the other method is what I have described.
I've never worked, or even ridden in a Yamaha, so can't provide any other help. Good luck.

From looking at Dave in VA's diagram it looks to me like the relay in question is #1, the engine stop relay. (top center in the diagram).

Hope this helps. It should, if this is the correct diagram for your cart.

Thanks. My thought was #1 as well except there are only 3 wires and the colors don't match up. Now I'm looking into the turn signals as they are now not working and since they are after market, not on the diagram.

There are no yellow wires. It sounds like someone has made some changes. OEM wiring has a plug on the relay. There are 4 wires on the relay. 2 black, 1 blue, 1 red w/white stripe. Blacks are ground. Blue is the switch, and red is the power.

Blue and black on the switch, red and black on the relay coil.

Red on some wiring can fade with Sunlight. See if you can work back into the harness where the wire is less affected by Sunlight to see if the exposed part faded. You could also look at that wire on the stop switch #13 to see if it is the same color. Another way with the battery disconnected, is to use a multi-meter to do a continuity check from that wire connection on the stop switch to the wire in question at the Stop relay. A low, near zero, resistance reading would indicate that it is the same wire, no matter what color it looks like.
