Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
Reread my post there were changes you did not recheck resistance. Did you disconnected relay coil?
Here is what im doing the grey wire with the fuse comes from the obc goes through the charge plug and grounds the relay in the charger. Rather than guessing at the problem we are trying to run tests to pinpoint the problem. So most likely causes are shorted wires bad plug and or socket and bad relay in charger. The fuse only blows when the charger is plugged in? Go back and reread my earlier post on disconnecting the relay coil |

Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
Sorry should have worded that diff. I did recheck same reading, left coil wires off and jumper in place, fuse still blows

Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
If no body has been working on your cart recently, and your batteries are hooked up correctly, then whatever took out that 3/8 amp fuse the first time, most likely took out your OBC. Lighting can and will do damage to that 3/8 amp fuse and OBC.

Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
Ok put everything back together in the charger. Pull the receptacle out and check all wires going to it, your looking for the red wire touching the grey when pressure is applied to one or the other or both. You can plug in the charger to test all tests should be done with ohm meter batteries disconnected and charger not plugged in to the 120

Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
charger put back to normal, visual inspection of receptacle wires looks good, ohmed recep before plugging charger in, infinite ressistance. After pluging charger to cart ohm reading same as coil in charger

Re: blowing fuse on a 04 iq
OK reverse the meter leads you may be reading through the diode thats across the coil.
