10" tires on 8" wheels?

I'm looking at picking up some 22x10" tires, but I still have the stock wheels. Can I use them on the 8" wheels, or do I have to go with 10" wheels? I searched the subject and didnt really find anything. I have a 95 marathon, that I am going to put a 5" lift on to fit these.

im sure its diameter and no it wont work. On the bright side it gives you a excuse to buy new wheels

You have an incomplete size, they could be 22/10-10 or 22/10-12 or 22/10-8, for an 8", 10" or 12" dia wheel..

another point worth considering, you will need to offset whatever wheels you end up with in order to clear the swingarm and steering, you can either pick up a set of 2" spacers online OR make sure the new rims you buy have a minimum 1.75" offset - I made the mistake of buying new/used rims for my 88 and ended up having to buy a set of spacers to get the standard offset wheels to work
