Kinda hard to say if you should rethink that, sounds like a good plan too me but I like using slightly bigger tires than you. I do know with more hp the need for a shorter belt is not as great. I'm not sure how much top end you'll pick up with the with the machined driven clutch but with the hs gears it should be around 7-8mph (8:1). That's why I was sayin you should check into it, ask Tom at CPP. heck, do both, that and no rev limiter should get you up around 35mph or better. Scottyb may be able to tell you about the gains, he had Tom do his clutch.

I think I'll try the belt (see also Way Cheaper) and keep the clutch idea as a back up in case I still want more.

I wonder if I can get the city to put up one of those "you're speed" radar signs on my street.

Looks great Wild. What octane gas are you running? Have any problems with detonation?

IIRC it's a low grade in there now but I will be putting some 93 in before it comes back out of the trailer. So far I haven't noticed anything.

If need be I have about 30 gallons of 110 in the trailer too

Sorry for tha lack of an update but I've been busy racing this weekend and doing my usual pics from the pits post kinda keeps me busy. Click here to see the post

This thing is awesome. I found a retty good step hill out here at Pittsbrugh Raceway Park and it climbed fast.

I can't wait to get an oil cooler and the msd on it and let it fly.
