Default Right voltage reducer for 58.6v Lithium

I have a Madjax voltage reducer now but it says 30-55v. I'd rather not test it to see how fast it smokes but ask here instead. Has anyone used this with their higher voltage Lithium packs? Does anyone know of a 30A reducer that is compatible?
Thanks
Greg

no have not used it, but how much higher do you mean? is the cart a 48v system? if it is, whether the batteries are lithium or not I would say you are safe with that reducer, it is designed for those voltages after all, and has input protection right?

The Lithium pack is 58.6v so it is no longer a 48v system. Checking here to see what the 60v and 72v guys are doing.

I just did a quick search online and there is a nice Dc to Dc reducer that can handle up to 96 volts and converts to 12v of course its 30 bucks. you may have to add an in line fuse but thats easy

Yeah, I saw a lot of them on line but did not recognize any of the brands. Was hoping for a recommendation from someone here who had experience.

I understand, fair enough

Your going to find that most reducers on the market are Chinese, and not really brand specific. I would not say that is a bad thing though, they usually work just fine. The reducers I have been using for several years are Chinese made and I have never had one go bad (except for one unfortunate wiring incident ) lol

Well I mean the one I saw that can handle up to 96 volts for $30 dollars should be just fine. You said your lithium system is about 60 volts so it won't be a burden on it.

For $20 or $30 bucks how many amps is it rated for? Because of the 55v rating limit on all the 30a reducers I'm going with a small accessory battery and just charge as needed.
