Noob question, pulley removal
In order to remove both pulleys on my '00 gas CC I have noticed there will be interference between the pulleys and the frame preventing just slipping them off. My question is; do I disconnect the front engine mount and lower the front of the engine to allow the pulleys to clear the frame or is there another method. I figured it's easier to ask somebody thats BTDT rather than trial and error. TIA

You might need to jack up the motor, but the clutch will come right off the shaft is short. You do have a puller dont you?

Re: Noob question, pulley removal
Got a puller but not enough room between the frame and pulley to use it. I guess I could always notch the frame

Take center to center measurements and offset measurements before you do anything.
I cut small pieces of rod for future use. Unbolt it and do it. |

Re: Noob question, pulley removal
the puller i have for a drive clutch is only a bolt looking thing. I have had no issues using it on a cart. only thing that got in the way was the front spring bolt. i took off the nut and backed the bolt out flush to the spring perch. after that there was "just"enough room to get the clutch out.
