Default Gtw lift alignment issue

Ok so I installed a gtw lift kit on a 87 cc ds. The camber is adjusted however the toe is still an inch off from front to back of the tire. I've adjusted it all the way in. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue. I can shorten the rod but you wouldn't think you should have to.

Yep! that happened with my Madjax 3-1/2'" lift!

DO NOT cut the rod!!!

Adjust the lower Heim joints OUT 2 turns each side,
(even though the instructions may tell you to leave the lower Heims all of the way in... like mine did.)

reinstall the lift, and recheck the toe adjustment,
If the toe is barely adjustable, turn the lower Heims out no more than a 1/2 to 1 more time!

It's kind of a pain to take almost everything apart, and put it back together again, but at least you wont have to go through what I did!

Here's my long-winded thread about it:

Thanks! I've been sitting on my roller chair downing ice cold yuengling wondering what adjustment could fix it. You would think they would tweak the jig a little to give you more adjustment. Pushing the heims out just makes a weak link IMO. It appears the steering doesnt turn right as much as it does left either. Well....before it starts to bind up. Just a shotty design.
