Default 36v chargers not working

i have an ezgo 36v cart.batteries all been tested under load they are ok.my charger would not turn off so batteries were super charged.took to a auto elec shop they couldn't help said it was faulty.so i changed the plug from an older model so it would fit and thats faulty also.how can i get my original charger to turn off after it has charged the batteries up?is there a part i can replace?

You took it to a shop and they said the charger was "faulty."

Why would you think changing the plug would fix it?

Which charger do you have, make and model? When you said the batteries were load tested, was this done at a golf cart dealer or like your charger, done at a car shop on a load tester made for cranking batteries? Did you or they measure individual battery voltages and total pack voltage 12 hours after charging stopped? What were they?

Car shops probably have no clue how a golf cart charger works, which is quite different than an automotive charger.

There is a wealth of knowledge and assistance here...

EXACT model numbers of your chargers, even better are a couple of pictures of each...

I can say with certainty that help will be timely !!!

Even I have fixed a couple of chargers with help from the folks here !!

so i have tried 2 chargers,one had a different plug configuration so i put the plug that fits my cart onto the other 36v charger and thats faulty as well.i will get pictures of both chargers tomorrow and post them.
i just want the original charger that wouldnt turn off on its charging cycle repaired
