Default big block engine swap?

Hello everyone, I,m a newby so I will introduce myself somewhat.I live in Atl, Ga. area, i'm 65 yrs old, always been a gearhead. Recently aquired a Yamaha G16a and would like to go a little faster so I'm thinking engine swap. I think something up to 20 hp would be good (don't want the wife to flip over). Any help, suggestions etc will be appreciated.

I don't have any experience with the Briggs engines yet, but I have a 20HP Honda in my cart and it lifts the front end off the ground. Probably doesn't matter which motor you choose, you'll have just as much fun with either one.

Alot of the lift factor has to do with the front suspension.

hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I have already learned so much from looking at all the posts, and anything more will be great. right now I am dealing with my windshield (the flexible hinge broke, I might put a stainless steel piano hinge in) again thanks for all your input.
p.s. that name is a loooong story.
