Default 70's EZ-GO

I'm thinking about picking up this 36v cart this weekend for a project. I really know nothing about it. Or what kind of mess I'm getting myself into. I hope to get this thing ship shape over the next year, and be driving it at the campground next spring. Any info or direction would be appreciated.

Those era carts are simple to work on. Really, all electric carts across all makes / models back then all had pretty much the same set up. A rheostat for speed control, a resistor bank for setting up speeds, etc. Parts for these carts are pretty readily available. If you exact part can't be found something else exists that will do just as well.
