yamaha g19 charger
I have a 1997 Yamaha 19 48 volt charger that burned out the main fuse this past winter. I have installed all new Trojan T875 batteries this week. When I took the charger apart the only damage I could find was the burned out main fuse on the front face of the body. Nobody locally had that big fuse so I replaced it with a 50 amp circuit breaker! when you plug in the 115 v power the led bulbs go on in sequence like an internal check but then the lights all go out and stay off. You can hear and feel the transformer hum even before you plug into the cart but the is no increase in voltage at the battery pack. When tested with VOLT METER the reading stays at 50.3 volts. I can't find any information or wiring diagrams on line to help

Re: yamaha g19 charger
Check the capacitor. When I had a G19, my charger did the same thing. I took it to a Lester Electric distributor and they diagnosed it immediately

Re: yamaha g19 charger
MAC yamaha charger doesnt use a capacitor.
Heres a little test info on your charger. The fact that the power is always on is a problem. |
