Default Lo Speed Switch

I believe on 2019 and later carts the manufacturer ran the wiring from the controller to an unterminated 4 pin molex connector under the cup holder. I have found the unused connector and the wiring schematic shows one of the leads going back to Pin #2 on the controller which when toggled to ground will activate the limits programmed under "Low Speed Mode". One of the other leads ends in another single pin empty connector bundled with a 10A fused lead that doesnt go anywhere which I also see under the cup holders. Two of the other leads go to ground. I think this is designed to connect to a toggle switch or possibly key that will ground lead #2 and engage low speed mode and also complete the other circuit which is probably designed for an indicator light. Would be pretty easy to wire a lighted toggle to engage low speed mode using this connector. The speed switch is shown on the schematic in the far right lower corner (see sticky). The schematic doesn't list the colors for these leads but clearly its for a future feature.

You found the wire? I haven't actually looked yet but I assumed I would have to start at the controller and trace, but if it's under the cupholder already that's fantastic.

Can you post any pictures of the wire/molex itself?

I was just going to buy a key-switch like this: https://www.amazon.com/Uxcell-a11112...dp/B019I12414/

And that way I could put it in "slow mode" whenever friends/family wanted to take the cart.

i'll post pictures when I get home friday. I found the empty connectors when I was fishing around for the turn signal leads when I added the lighted mirrors. I suspect from the connectors the future implementation includes a dual key system that maybe turns the opposite direction or something. Doesn't seem to be that simple to use a smart key like on cars. Vehicles with OBD are easier to implement these features although it seems toyota saw a use for it in their controller and Icon went ahead and ran the wiring.

Just commenting on this specific bit. It's pretty common in golf carts to have a rabbit/turtle mode for some reason. So high/low speed is kind of at the golf cart origins.

I'd love to have a picture of this and the location. I was on my back under my cart and tried for 30 minutes trying to find the low speed molex...I was going to hook it up and test it if I could find it, but sadly I did not.

These are the 3 wires I was wondering about in another thread. There’s brown/black, red/black, and red wires running from the controller and tow/run switch to under the cup holders on the driver’s side.

does it terminate in an unused white connector?

These wires:

I had a tone-tool that I was playing for tracing wires, which I hardly know how to use, and I think it was tracing them to this weird connector bundle (yellow/orange/blue + yellow/red/green) that's directly under the controller. No idea if I traced them correctly, I was just playing around with the tool trying to find the low speed wire.
