Default Replacement Motor

I am unable to find a complete robin ec25-2pg motor for sell. So I was wondering what would be a good replacement for the motor?

Your only option is to rebuild yours. If you swap another motor into it, you'll have no reverse unless you also swap out the transmission/rear axle with one out of a 93-94. The 2 stroke motors run backwards to make the cart run in reverse.

I did put a predator 212cc motor in an 89. It moved along pretty good but it had no reverse and was pull start, which worked fine for.my intended purpose (toy for the kids to beat up) but to keep it operating like a golf cart, you'll need to rebuild.your motor. Itll be cost prohibitive to try and swap something else

X3 above....

If the case, head and reed valve are ok you'll get everything else you need (except electronics) in a rebuild kit. Last I looked they're about $400 for the full kit which includes crankshaft, I did mine a few years ago and it's still running terrific to this day. These Ezgo's are pretty easy to rebuild....

I'm rebuilding a 78 Harley buggy engine right now and it'll be the last one of those for me lol, Can't find a lot of new parts for it anymore and the used stuff out there are triple the price of new Ezgo stuff. Good Luck
