Briggs V-Twin Exhaust Pics
For those running a Briggs engine, can you please post pics of the exhaust manifold and exhaust setup?
Trying to pre plan my 18hp install and which manifold and exhaust setup I'll consider The 691501 and 805609 appear to be same, other than the 805609 having an expanded ended (likely for muffler fitment?) The 692061 has a significant drop down pipe after the cylinders |

Re: Briggs V-Twin Exhaust Pics
I just buy the raw pipe kits from Vegas Carts. They are thick walled tube with all the bends and flanges etc, you just need to fab it up. I typically make pie cuts and tack weld together piece by piece, usually takes a couple hours. Then remove it and weld it up slowly so it doesn't warp. Final weld takes another hour, so 3 hours total for me, and I'm no professional welder. They usually come out real nice after I clean up the welds a little. You can paint them with manifold paint, wrap them, whatever. Seems like I pay about $150 for the kit?

Re: Briggs V-Twin Exhaust Pics
Here is what I did, CPP stainless header pipe into a VW Baja muffler. Sounds great!

Re: Briggs V-Twin Exhaust Pics
Is there any huge perk or benefit to run an aftermarket exhaust header, rather than a used stock manifold for $60?

Re: Briggs V-Twin Exhaust Pics
I like the CPP pipe cause it's stainless steel. Can't remember what I paid but just bought the pipe, no muffler, no kit. They also sell a plain steel pipe for much less. Talk to Bruce at CPP if interested.
