Default Star EV Classic, Lithium upgrade ?

Literally asking for a friend.... lol

It's a 2015 and he just bought it, wants to update to Lithium and bigger tires etc...

Not finding a lot of info on Star Ev although I did find on their web page that they can be bought with Lithium.

So far no reply from them or a local shop if there is a kit.....

Looking thru some video's it looks like the battery tray is just like an EZGO....

Thinking a ECO battery ezgo kit might be an reasonable install....

Anybody done this yet ?

Thanks

Mike

We just did a friends Star EV this past Saturday with the Eco 48v 105 aH kit. Worked great.

Only thing we needed to figure out, was why after we just put in the battery and connected the battery cables, we could not get power to the ignition switch and front console. He then let me know that he had switched out the charging port to the new Eco charging port. There is a micro switch on the old Star charging port that needs to be in the closed position to power up the console. We spliced the 2 wires together, and everything worked as it should.

Took us about 3 hours total.

Good luck with the swap. My buddy also had 8 batteries. He's loving the new configuration.
