About how much paint do I need
I got two body and front cowls removed from 2003's TXT. They are both white and I think that's the color I want to go back with.
I am thinking ivory white ? I was also thinking a quart of base coat plus clear coat is what I could do this with ? even though I have never used this type paint. I always just used enamel way back in the 70's and 80's. I got a mid range spray gun. Or maybe just buy acrylic enamel and spray them. I want them to look like new. I don't want to use rattle cans . It has been a long time since I last painted but at one time I did paint a lot of carts. I will have to wait until a day with low wind and temps at least in the 60's so I can spray them outside in the back of my shop. I have them both cleaned and sanded ready to paint. I have a painter who said he could do both for $200 and use base coat and clear. I have to supply paint and primer. Maybe I should let him do them. He said he could guarantee his work. Not sure if he could do it with a quart but he said today he could. |

Re: About how much paint do I need
For $200 have the painter do it for sure. You are going to need 2 quarts of paint and 2 quarts of clear for two carts. Even though whites are normally some of the cheaper ones (the pearls sure are expensive, though) you are still easily looking at well over $100 just for materials. Probably close to $150. Your painter really won't be making much. You may as well let them do it and save yourself the hassle.

Its just one the man had that he used to show people when they don't have a paint code. I don't have a code and like you said the pearls for say a Toyota is expensive. I can't find any paint code for ezgo. I have one for the hunter green but I want some sort of white. |

Look at car paint. If you like a manufactures white paint, get the code for it. That is what I did when I painted mine.

Thanks, I am just going with what my 2019 Toyota TRD Sport truck is. Super white. Base coat and clear coat. Should look good. If not I can always paint it again
