2009 YDRE parking brake

the parking brake on my cart does not work. what should i check and where do i check it? i have not even started to look at it yet but wanted some insite befor i started getting into it.

Does the pedal refuse to latch, or does it latch but not far enough down to hold the cart?

There was a thread recently discussing a park brake latch problem, it had pictures.

yes the parking brake does not latch at all. thanks for the help, i will check out the linckage as soon as i can and let you know
