I was hoping you would be more successful than I was.I even tried the much heavier cable co ax . But as in your case this was a spare pick up I bought so I went back to on the steering column mounting. I agree the big 8086 is very easy to read. Actually though I first wanted to use the smaller equus but read it probably would not work on the one cylinder clone.

It could be a high ohm wire. I like the shift light version but you do pay a few more for it. I have to make up my mind here and order something.

Well I lost my taste for certain types of digital number gauges. Digital tachometers and speedometers change so fast the numbers are a blur to see till you hold them steady. I just got my 8086 back in my truck and I'm replacing my speedometer with this so to match my 8086 .

Can anyone tell me how long the pickup I have a six seater just trying to find out if the pick up is long enough thanks for any info

On my yamaha G14 the lead from the VC 460 clone lets me mount to the steering coloum. On my sled powered HD cart I could only get as far as the dash compartment. As you seen in Shepard's thread here everything we tried to extend the tach pickup failed. My guess based on my 2 carts would be the lead is going to be short on your 6 seater.
