Trouble removing 36v motor 91 CC
I just removed the bolts and bracket holding the motor to the case. I can spin the motor body but it will not come out. Is the spline just rusted in the drive or do I need to disassemble the rear end. 91 36 volt with vglide.

Re: Trouble removing 36v motor 91 CC
usually you can gently pry with a screwdriver to get it started.
taking the rear end apart will not help |

Re: Trouble removing 36v motor 91 CC
Had the same problem if you take the end of the motor and take the can off all that will be left is the armature on the input shaft if you have or have access to an aceteline torch heat the coupler and tap the armature easily it will pop apart a reguler torch for soldering pipes will work but takes longer if you are getting another motor the harder you hit the armature the faster it will release i had the same issue with a 91 and had to ruin the armature

Re: Trouble removing 36v motor 91 CC
I was able to pry the motor case off with the screwdriver and the armature shaft is stuck in the differential. I sprayed it with wd40 and will let it sit overnight and see if I can get it tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Trouble removing 36v motor 91 CC
try a penatrating spray like pb nut buster wd is not strong enough to break the rust in most cases
