1/2 battery pack being charged
I placed my batteries on charge this weekend & 3 out of my 6 batteries were bubbling & warm - the other 3 were cool to the touch & not bubbling after a 12 hour timer charge - took it out for spin & seemed not to be going at normal speed - I the swithed the non-bubbling batteries with the other 3 - placed on charger again for a 12 hour cycle - the bubbled & got warm - took for spin & ran at normal speed (18mph) - why would the whole battery pack not be charging at one time - sorry for long winded post, just wanted to be thourgh - please help - thnx

Re: 1/2 battery pack being charged
Any chance you could post a pic of the entire battery bay?
Is this a matched set of batteries, or 6 orphans? Has work been done to the cart recently? Can you measure each battery voltage as well as the pack voltage? |

Re: 1/2 battery pack being charged
These new batteries installed themselves? That's a new one! I'm gonna go with a major boo-boo in the pack wiring connections on this one. The pictures should tell us something....

Re: 1/2 battery pack being charged
Stop! the charger is hooked up to 3 batteries & at 36voltsds you are cooking the Chit out them and killing them new batteries Check the charger connections you got it wrong....... NEVER has this 'happened' on it's own

Re: 1/2 battery pack being charged
A picture is a MUST here!!! Scotty's got a great point. You may need 3 batteries and correct wiring of the pack...

Re: 1/2 battery pack being charged
I'll bet $ But the danger is he may be charging 18 volts worth of batteries to 36v (12hrs) Excessive charging is a leading killer of batteries.....
