Default Golf Cart Body Restoring - Bring Shine Back

I have a cart (Precedent) that I bought from a golf course. Is there a good way to bring the body back to life. It is faded from the sun and where they had their decals it is shinny. I bought a rotary polisher, but don't know what products to use to clean it and then wax it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Wet sand with 600 or 800 paper and use an oxidation remover followed by a good wax like something from Meguires.

Sorry for the stupid question, but I am guessing the sanding is done by hand or do you put it on like a palm sander? Also, I am guessing you hit it quick and don't spend a large amount of time in a single area?

When I do wet sanding I wrap the paper around a firm sponge and use side to side motion overlapping strokes with plenty of water to keep the paper lubricated. A garden hose on low or a spray bottle both work well. You can also follow that up with polishing compound on your buffer. I would not use rubbing compound. Don’t stay in any one area too long or you will sand through the paint.

Thanks for the insight.
