Default lift question

i just received my Jakes 6" lift fot my G11 it states in the instructions you cannot use the stock wheels and was wondering why as i do not have my new wheels as of now so does that mean if I put the lift in i cannot put the stock wheels and tires on temporally untill i save the money for the new wheels

The front rims will rub/hit the new steering risers. You could use wheel spacers to push the rims out and away from the risers.

That is correct. The manufacturer is letting you know that the stock wheels will no longer bolt up to the front hubs after the lift is installed. Most likely a larger diameter wheel (10 or 12 inch) and or an offset rim is required. The place where you bought the lift kit will be able to tell what is required for your particular lift.....

You will need a 10" rim minimum.

The "drop bracket" will go on the driverside. It is used to keep the "sway bar" in the same location in respect to the raising of the rear with the upper shock mount braket. You may have to drill an extra hole. Your tow hitch shuld stay. By the way...Good choice of a vehicle. Alittle longer/beefer differential and alot of cargo space. Can we see some pic's ? Later Dave
